The SDRR Collaborative was reinstituted in July 2014 due to rising rates of sexually transmitted diseases for local teens and continued community concern regarding high risk adolescent behavior such as unprotected sex, drinking, and drug use. Partners in this collaborative include Public Health, Behavioral Health, Social Services, Probation, District Attorney’s Office, Mammoth Hospital, Mammoth Police, Sheriff’s Office, Mammoth Unified School District, Mono County Office of Education, Eastern Sierra Unified School District, Wild Iris, and Mammoth Mountain.
The collaborative recently completed an assessment on high risk behavior in local teens, and is working on developing evidence based interventions in response to the needs of Mono County youth. Results of the SDRR Survey can be viewed in the video below.
