About the Council
Established in 2001, the Mono County Child Abuse Prevention Council supports coordination, education, and prevention efforts that strengthen families and reduce child abuse and neglect.
Recognizing the rural and geographically isolated nature of Mono County, the council works to identify local needs, review programs funded through the Office of Child Abuse Prevention, and strengthen collaboration among family-serving organizations.
The Mono County Department of Health and Human Services contracts with the Mono County Office of Education to coordinate CAPC activities.
