The goal of the small water system program is to ensure that each small public water system provides the users with wholesome potable water which meets State standards and regulations. This program provides regulatory over site to ensure all small public water system operators are issued a water system permit to serve water to the public. This procedure outlines the general guidelines to follow when issuing a small water system permit to a new small water system.
