Foster Care and Resource Family Approval

Foster Care

Our Mission in Foster Care

  • Protect children from abuse and neglect
  • Provide safe, nurturing homes when families are struggling
  • Work with the community to help families grow stronger and become independent

Foster Care

If children can’t stay with their own families because it isn’t safe, we connect them with other families who can provide care — sometimes temporarily, sometimes long term.

Resource Family Approval (RFA)

The Resource Family Approval Program is a new, family-friendly process that puts children’s needs first. It combines the old systems for foster care, relative caregivers, adoption, and guardianship into one streamlined approval process — replacing all the older systems.
